Lord Nelson Inn

Lord Nelson Inn, Topsham

Lord Nelson Inn

Now just called the Nelson, the Lord Nelson Inn enjoys a central position in Topsham, meaning it was ideal for staging markets and fairs in the past. Henry III granted Topsham a charter to hold a three day on the feast of St Margaret of Antioch.

During the height of the Topsham Ten era, this was another pub that tended towards being a restaurant, insisting that you bought food with your drink, but since about 2008 this madness has stopped and you can now enjoy a pint of ale or a reasonably-priced shooter the way it should be done.

This is a more family-oriented place so might be the best place for a cheeky shot or cocktail.
